BÄKKER Sweet Escape: Baked Apple & Cinnamon Rolls

For those who want to enjoy a bakery treat without eating pastries. We transformed the famous cinnamon rolls into their fittest and crispiest version with our high-protein lavash.

  • Brief Description: "Are you on a diet but craving a warm, freshly baked pastry? These apple rolls, prepared using BÄKKER High-Protein Lavash, unlike classic desserts, do not cause a sudden rise in blood sugar and provide satiety with their protein content. Taking only 5 minutes to prepare and 10 minutes to bake, this practical treat will become a staple for your tea times."

  • Ingredients:

    • 1 BÄKKER High-Protein Lavash (Tortilla)

    • 1 Red or Green Apple (Grated and lightly squeezed)

    • 1 heaping teaspoon Cinnamon

    • 2 tablespoons Crushed Walnuts or Hazelnuts

    • 1 tablespoon Sugar-free Peanut Butter (or Labneh)

    • 1 teaspoon Honey or Maple Syrup

  • How to Make It?

    1. Prepare the Base: Lay the BÄKKER lavash flat on a surface. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter (or labneh) over it. This will help the ingredients adhere to the lavash.

    2. Filling: Mix the grated apple, cinnamon, and crushed walnuts in a small bowl.

    3. Filling and Rolling: Spread the apple mixture evenly over the entire lavash. Starting from one end of the lavash, roll it up very tightly (without leaving any air inside).

    4. Slicing: Cut the prepared long roll into round slices (snail-shaped) approximately 2 fingers thick using a sharp knife.

    5. Baking: Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cut side up. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (or Airfryer) for 10-12 minutes until the edges are crispy and the apples are slightly caramelized.

    6. Serving: Drizzle a very thin string of honey over the hot rolls fresh from the oven and serve.
