BÄKKER Practical Pita: Ground Meat & Kashar Cheese Bread Boats

BÄKKER Practical Pita: Ground Meat & Kashar Cheese Bread Boats

100% traditional taste, without the weight of pide dough. The dense texture of BÄKKER bread perfectly holds the juicy pide filling without it leaking through.

  • Short Description: "Craving a steaming hot, fresh-from-the-oven Turkish flatbread (kır pidesi) but avoiding pastries? The solution is in your kitchen. By transforming slices of BÄKKER High Protein Bread into pide boats, you can achieve both crispy edges and a juicy filling. This practical pide, taking only 10 minutes to prepare, will become your favorite indulgence with its high protein content."

  • Ingredients:

    • 2 thick slices of BÄKKER High Protein Bread (Whole or cut into an oval shape)

    • 100g lean ground beef (for the minced meat version)

    • Half an onion and 1 green pepper (finely diced)

    • Half a tomato (seeded and finely diced)

    • 1 sprig of parsley

    • 2 tablespoons grated cheddar or mozzarella cheese

    • Salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes

  • Instructions:

    1. Prepare the boats: Press down on the center of the BÄKKER bread slices with the back of a spoon or your fingers to create a hollow "pool/boat" shape with raised edges (be careful not to pierce the bread).

    2. Filling (Raw): In a bowl, knead together the minced meat, finely chopped onion, green pepper, tomato, parsley, and spices with your hands until well combined. You can add 1 tablespoon of water or a tiny bit of oil to prevent the filling from drying out.

    3. Fill: Spread the raw filling in a thin layer into the hollowed-out centers of the bread slices and press down lightly.

    4. Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) or in an Airfryer for approximately 10-12 minutes, until the meat is cooked and the edges of the bread are crispy.

    5. Cheese Touch: Sprinkle a little grated cheese on top 2 minutes before removing from the oven, and bake until the cheese is melted and browned. Serve hot.
