Having a 'Fast Food' craving while on a diet? The solution is simple. We'll turn your stale BÄKKER High-Protein Breads into a legendary breading in a food processor. Not deep-fried, but oven-baked, with a double layer of protein from both chicken and bread. A healthy, guilt-free snack that even kids will love.
-
Ingredients:
-
2-3 slices of BÄKKER High-Protein Bread (Ideally stale or slightly dried)
-
300g Chicken Breast (Cut into cubes or long strips)
-
1 Egg
-
1 tablespoon Strained Yogurt
-
1 teaspoon each: Sweet paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper
-
A very small amount of Olive Oil (A spray bottle is great for baking)
-
-
How to Make:
-
BÄKKER Breading: Place the dried BÄKKER bread slices in a food processor and process until they become fine crumbs (like breadcrumbs). Transfer the crumbs to a wide, flat plate and mix with paprika, garlic powder, and oregano.
-
Liquid Mixture: In a deep bowl, whisk the egg, strained yogurt, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
-
Coating Process: Dip the chicken pieces first into the yogurt-egg mixture, then coat them in the seasoned BÄKKER crumbs. Make sure all sides of the chicken are covered with breadcrumbs.
-
Baking: Arrange the coated chicken pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between them. Lightly spray with olive oil (or drizzle with a brush).
-
Cooking: Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (preferably with a fan setting) for approximately 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and extra crispy.
