It is not agriculture that grows, but abandoned land.
A country's greatest wealth is not the figures in its bank, but the fertility of its land.
But we are silently losing that wealth.
* Thousands of hectares of agricultural land remain idle in Turkey every year.
* Fields that once teemed with abundance are now covered with weeds.
* Local seeds are forgotten, traditional products are silently erased from the shelves.
And the most painful part:
We either fill this void with imports, or completely remove it from our tables.
Yet, every abandoned field means:
– The closure of a village school,
– A producer's labor going to waste,
– A country losing its ability to feed itself.
Will we bring these lands back to production, or will we hand over the most valuable resource of the future to foreign hands ourselves?
Because the food crisis begins in the soil. And no technology can replace an uncultivated field.
