If there are no young people at the table, there is no future.
How many of us are at one table? Mother, father, aunt, uncle, maybe a few acquaintances. But have you noticed? Someone is missing from this table. Young people are absent. They are far from the fields, far from production, far from the kitchen.
However, a country's future is written not only by its bank reserves and urban towers, but by its gaze upon its land, the seeds it plants, and the soil it waters.
Today, for young people, agriculture or production seems only difficult, backward, or an uninteresting field. But in fact, food is not just a profession, but a culture, a family bond, a vision for life. If we cannot get young people back to that table, rest assured that tomorrow, along with many other things, hope will also be missing from that table.
We must not alienate our young people from agriculture, production, and food. To do this, in our businesses, in corporate and non-corporate company settings, in our future planning, in the media, in family communication – in other words, everywhere – we must seek new ways and clear a path for them.
We should not just tell them to produce, but empower them by saying "your success and your production determine the future of this country," and be role models for them.
Every generation should have a place at this table. As a business, we have opened our doors to our newly graduated young people. I cannot express how happy I am. I had said before that they are brilliant minds, and I am learning a lot.
I am excited to bring many more young friends alongside me, and for that, I need to work even harder.
