Have you ever thought about it?
In a food-rich world, how did hunger become fashionable?
For the first time in world history, food is so abundant, and hunger is so widespread. But what's even stranger is this: Some people are hungry to survive, while others are hungry to stay fit.
On one side, children are fainting from hunger, while on the other, people are experiencing hunger in detox camps. Today, intermittent fasting, juice detox (drinking only water for 3 days) diets…
In the modern world, hunger has turned into a health ritual. But at the same time, 828 million people worldwide go to bed hungry every night. While we have so much food, why are we still in such an unbalanced, unjust system?
Because food is no longer just nutrition; it has become power, economy, privilege, and spectacle. In one place, a plate is decorated, while in another, the ingredients for that plate cannot even be found. In one place, three meals are skipped so that the "body can detoxify," in another, nothing has been eaten for three meals.
Hunger is a reality. But going hungry has sometimes become a choice, even a trend.
This order must change. Because a world that cannot solve hunger, no matter how technological it may be, cannot pass the test of humanity.
